中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說走紅海外
導(dǎo)讀:中國(guó)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說以其特有的中國(guó)文化內(nèi)涵受到了一大批外國(guó)讀者的追捧,越來越多的人為它著迷。可是隨著網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說走紅海外,一些問題也接踵而至……
Many Chinese web novels are interesting and imaginative. But has it ever occurred to (想到) you that they could help people stop using drugs (毒品), too?
許多中國(guó)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說非常有趣且富有想象力。但是你是否想過,這些小說也可以幫助人們戒毒呢?
Kevin Cazad, a 29-year-old IT technician from California, US, quit his drug habit after reading translations (翻譯) of Chinese web novels, reported People’s Daily in March.
《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》3月份的一篇報(bào)道提到,現(xiàn)年29歲的Kevin Cazad是一名來自美國(guó)加利福尼亞州的程序員,他在讀了中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說的譯本后,戒掉了毒癮。
He turned to drugs to reduce the pain of a breakup in 2014. But the drugs caused him physical and mental pain, even threatening his life at times. However, after having the Chinese web novel Coiling Dragon (《盤龍》) recommended to him, Cazad became crazy with his new hobby, causing him to “forget” about doing drugs.
2014年,為了減輕分手帶來的痛苦,他沾上了毒品。但毒品卻給他帶來了身體和精神上的雙重痛苦,甚至一度威脅到了生命。然而,在他被安利了中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說《盤龍》后就徹底迷上了,還讓他“忘記”了吸毒。
“I went home wanting to [take drugs] every day,” Cazad told Southern China Weekly. “Now, I prefer to read the novels. They are addictive like drugs, but not harmful to my health.”
“我(以前)一回到家就想要吸毒”,Cazad在接受《中國(guó)南方周刊》采訪時(shí)說道。“現(xiàn)在我更喜歡閱讀小說,他們像毒品一樣令我上癮,可是不會(huì)對(duì)我的身體造成傷害。”
Cazad is not the only foreigner to become a huge fan of online Chinese literature. In fact, Chinese web novels have recently been gaining popularity among foreign readers.
Cazad并不是唯一一位成為中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說狂熱粉絲的外國(guó)人。事實(shí)上,中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說已在外國(guó)讀者中相當(dāng)流行。
According to a 2016 report from Novel Updates, a website that translates popular Asian novels for Western readers, among the site’s 10 most popular web novels, five were written by Chinese authors.
為西方讀者翻譯流行亞洲小說的網(wǎng)站Novel Updates于2016年發(fā)布的一份報(bào)告顯示,在該網(wǎng)站10大最受歡迎的流行網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說中,有5部為中國(guó)作家所著。
And Wuxiaworld, the largest Chinese web novel translation forum (論壇) in the world, says it has more than 3 million page views a day.
而全球最大的中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說翻譯論壇“武俠世界”則稱,該網(wǎng)站每天有超過300萬(wàn)的網(wǎng)頁(yè)瀏覽量。
Foreign readers are attracted by the Chinese culture and history in the novels, according to online novelist Li Ruibin, who is well-known under her pen name Qinlyu.
以Qinlyu為筆名的著名網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說家李瑞斌(音譯)認(rèn)為,外國(guó)讀者被小說中的中國(guó)文化和歷史所吸引。
“As a Westerner, the traditional Chinese elements (元素) and strong plots (情節(jié)) really attract me. Outside of the Harry Potter series, I can’t think of any other books with so much imagination,” Fernando Hernandez, a Spanish engineer, told People’s Daily.
“作為一個(gè)西方人,中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)元素和強(qiáng)有力的情節(jié)深深地吸引了我,除了‘哈利·波特’系列,我想不到還有哪些書能有如此的想象力。”西班牙工程師費(fèi)爾南多·赫爾南德斯在接受《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》采訪時(shí)表示。
Despite Chinese web novels’ popularity among foreign readers, some people believe they have no deep meaning, compared with traditional works.
盡管中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說在外國(guó)讀者中非常流行,但有些人認(rèn)為,與傳統(tǒng)作品相比,它們沒有深意。
“Some online novelists give up quality for speed updates (更新). Low-quality writing with repetitive (重復(fù)的) structure and rude language will not survive long,” Han Haoyue, writer and cultural critic, told Xinhua News Agency.
“一些網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說寫手為了加快更新的速度而放棄了小說的質(zhì)量。低質(zhì)量的寫作再加上重復(fù)的框架和低俗的語(yǔ)言,這勢(shì)必不會(huì)長(zhǎng)久。”作家、文化評(píng)論人韓浩月在接受新華社采訪時(shí)表示。
They also face problems with plagiarism (剽竊). For example, Eternal Love (《三生三世十里桃花》), a popular Chinese web novel that has been translated into English, has been accused of plagiarism.
此外,這些作品還面臨著剽竊的問題。比如,已被譯成英文的中國(guó)流行網(wǎng)絡(luò)小說《三生三世十里桃花》就被指控抄襲剽竊。
Nevertheless, many people still think highly of them. “Chinese online literature has a cultural charm (魅力) and is easily accessible (易接觸的) to young foreign audiences. It is a good channel to improve Chinese culture,” Wu Wenhui, CEO of digital reading platform (平臺(tái)) China Reading, told Xinhua.
盡管如此,很多人依然對(duì)這些作品評(píng)價(jià)很高。“中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)文學(xué)有一種文化魅力,很容易被年輕的外國(guó)讀者理解。這是一個(gè)促進(jìn)中國(guó)文化傳播的好渠道。”數(shù)字閱讀平臺(tái)閱文集團(tuán)CEO吳文輝在接受新華社采訪時(shí)表示。
