­　　華盛頓大學是美國西海岸的第一所公立大學，其幾乎所有主校園的建筑物都以哥特式建筑、哥特式風格為主題：眾多拱門鑲嵌人物雕塑，門柱與窗框上都雕有復雜的花紋。那么，這樣一所難能可貴的世界一流大學有何特點呢？
